Shri Sadhan Ch Mistry, agriculture lebour of 35 years at Hanspukur, West Bengal died on 13th April, 1971 of a minor ailment. Due to extreme poverty, could not afford any medical help. He left behind his illiterate and young wife, Subasini with 2- daughters and 2- sons of 2 to 10 years.


Naturally the family plunged into utter poverty and Subasini with her younger son was forced out of her home within one month of her husband’s death to work as maid servant and hotel boy.  While she worrying about her  children, she took a vow that one day she will build a hospital in that very village so that no poor would die for want of medical attention.

Subasini went on selling vegetables silently with her younger son and looking after her other children never allowing the fire in her frail body to douse even for a moment for 12 years. They worked as a domestic help, brick layer, vegetable vendor etc. while her younger son helping her out in various chores – as well as was studying. When she expressed her dream to her younger son (Ajoy) in 1989 and Ajoy started to work hard more and purchased a plot of land of about fifteen cotta with a sum of Rs.75000/-($ 1119.90) by Regd. deed No.17703 dated.27.11.1992 with his savings and transfer the same to the “HUMANITY TRUST” vide deed No.3163 dated 4.03.1993.

Ajoy worked hard and ran around to friends, well-wishers, organization and managed to raise 50,000 ($ 746) for the mission. In a hut, Charitable Clinic Started. Ajoy’s behest, 3 Doctors started treating sick free of charge with free supply of medicines.
